On Saturday, May 21st, the HFD and Town of Wappinger EMS were dispatched to Osborne Hill Road near Fleetwood Drive for a reported motorcycle accident. Chief 45-1 and Town of Wappinger EMS arrived on scene within 5 minutes and, due to the seriousness of injuries, a medevac helicopter was requested. The crew from Rescue 45-55 shut down the roadway and assisted with patient care. A landing zone was established by Engine 45-11 at the fire station and LifeNet Air 2 landed without incident. The patient was transported to Westchester Medical Center.
