HFD responds to 10-75 (Active Fire) |

At 9:19pm, on January 23, 2025, Hughsonville Fire Department along with New Hackensack 52-11(Engine) were dispatched to Montclair Townhomes for smoke coming from an apartment. The first arriving Chief Officer arrived on scene and encountered a heavy smoke condition and visible fire from a second floor deck. The incident commander upgraded the incident to a 10-75(Active Fire) to bring in additional resources from Village of Fishkill FD (FAST) and Town of Wappinger Ambulance. The HFD responded with 45-2(Dep. Chief), 45-3(Asst. Chief), 45-11(Engine), 45-31(Tanker), and 45-46(Ladder). Firefighters extinguished the visible fire on the deck and opened up the walls in the affected apartment and the apartment below the incident. All fire units operated on scene for approximately an hour before being placed back in-service by Hughsonville Command. Thank you the following agencies for your assistance on this incident. |
