The Officers & Members of the Hughsonville Fire Department would like to congratulate Past Chief/Past President William Beale on his appointment as Acting Commissioner of Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response. (DCDER)

William Beale joined the Hughsonville Fire Company in 1992 and moved through the ranks to become Chief of Department in 2001-2002. After completing his term as Fire Chief, he switched roles to become the President of the Fire Company, a position he held for 19 years. In 2020, he returned to a Chief Officer position as Deputy Fire Chief.

In 2003, William started with the Dutchess County Department of Emergency Response as a Fire Investigator. In 2012, William was appointed to the position of Deputy Fire Coordinator of the Dutchess County Fire Investigation Division. For over ten years he has held a leadership position within the DCDER as Emergency Management Coordinator/ Director of Emergency Management.
