Hughsonville Fire District Service Awards vote

On May 10th, 2016 from 6-9PM the Hughsonville Fire District will hold a public vote asking voters to approve a change in the Service Awards Program from 20 years to 30 years. Currently members who make required attendance receive a $20.00 credit for each year of service to the District. That continues for 20 years and upon reaching the Entitlement age of 62 will receive $400.oo per month for his/her service to the Community. By approving the change members will now earn  credit for 30 years increasing the monthly payment to $600.00.  The Hughsonville Fire District has had this program in effect since 1990 when the voters and State of New York recognized the work and dedication of the Volunteer Firefighters.  Please vote YES on May 10th from 6-9 PM and send the message to the Volunteers that the Community supports them.
